Introduction
The Consortium for Country and Area Studies (CCAS) was established by the Global Alliance of Foreign Studies University at the initiative of Beijing Foreign Studies University, who is also serving as its secretariat. The CCAS membership covers more than 180 countries and international organizations and more than 100 languages, following the principles of “diversity in perspectives, inclusiveness in coverage, originality in research and depth in understanding.”
CCAS was launched on April 29, 2022, with the aim of fostering global academic collaboration, promoting interdisciplinarity in research and contributing to academic innovation globally, to aggregate collective knowledge and wisdom of scholars from diverse disciplinary background in different countries to address the challenges and opportunities we are faced with when the world is undergoing profound changes.
CCAS Conference on Inclusive, Shared and Sustainable Development—Global Perspectives
As the world is entering the second half of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, we are witnessing changes unseen in a century,. The implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals is faced with severe challenges. People around the world are calling for concerted effort to address the challenges by sharing experiences and wisdom, promoting international understanding and cooperation.
It is against this background that the Conference is organized to exchange views on inclusive, shared and sustainable development. It is a one-day conference featuring prominent scholars from different countries and regions, sharing their insights and views on development.
