It is with great satisfaction and honor that I accepted to be part the Consortium for Country and Area Studies. With this initiative, new possibilities for international cooperation are opened up. The CCAS can contribute to the strengthening of international studies, articulating researchers, students and institutions from different countries, in special developing countries. I hope we will develop joint research projects and international scientific formation, pointing out new theoretical and methodological paths. I hope also that our cooperation can collaborate to deal with the great global challenges of our time.
